The legislative session ends in less than three weeks! Conversations surrounding the State’s bonding package are increasing, and we want to make sure that lawmakers are hearing community support for housing.  This week’s 5 for 5 is targeting key members of the Senate Capital Investment Committee. These members play an important role in finalizing the bonding bill. If you live or work in their districts, call and request their support for the Homes for All bonding request!

Find the 2018 Homes for All bonding one-pager here, and who represents you here.

Place calls to these 5  lawmakers, requesting their support for S.F. 2939 and get 5 other people to do the same!

The script is the same for each call, and it is provided below!

Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen  (08, Alexandria)  – (651) 297-8063 – Committee Vice-Chair
Senator Jeremy Miller (28, Winona) – (651) 296-5649
Senator Justin D. Eichorn (05, Grand Rapids) – (651) 296-7079

Hello Senator [their name],
My name is [your name] and I live in [your city].  I am calling to request your support for  S.F. 2939.  S.F. 2939 is a bill supported by over 200 organizations statewide and would secure $140M for needed infrastructure investments in affordable housing.  Statewide, communities are experiencing housing instability due to increased housing cost. Please make sure S.F. 2939 makes in the into the final bonding bill and ensure all Minnesotans have good quality, affordable homes.  Thank you!
